Super Kiiids! African American Literary Celebration and Tellin’ Tales all come to Old Books!

We have officially kicked off a new era at Old Books on Front St. All the renovation work to make events possible has come to fruition. This week saw the premier of Story Time, Knit Wits and Open Mic! Personally, I am very excited to see these regular events grow. We will be closed on Tues, Feb 26th, to film a segment of the upcoming (and long awaited) Super Kiiids feature film. Don’t worry we will re-open in time for Knit Wits that evening. This Sunday at 6:30 we will have our first annual African American Literary Celebration with the lovely Ms. Joyce Greer as Harriet Tubman. Remember to bring an excerpt from your favorite African American author to read when we open up the stage to you. To start March with style Scott Davis of Tellin’ Tales will present stories of Cape Fear history on March 2nd as part of Be A Tourist in Your Home Town Day. Show Times are at 1 PM, 2 PM & 3 PM - we hope to see you there!(www.tellintales.com)
