Post - Renovation & 2 shameless plugs

Can it really be February already? Please come by and see the new shelves! We replaced bookshelves on 2 walls and we have added rolling carts in the front of the store in order to have our much – longed for events. Which brings us to the next topic: please look at the new calendar on the website. Who knew we had so much happening here? We have a Crafter’s Group meeting here on Tuesdays, 2 Regular Story Times, African American Literary Celebration Starring Joyce Greer as Harriet Tubman, Be a Tourist in Your Home Town Starring Scott Davis of Tellin’ Tales and Open Mic Nites! (That is just the beginning…. *insert scary laugh*) Also we would like to make 2 shameless publicity plugs: The first: “The Guy Who Lives Upstairs” AKA M. Wisinioski, is having an art show at Café Phoenix. The opening is on Feb. 21, 7 PM. Please come support this talented local artist and bookstore resident. SECOND: The Full Belly Project, our favorite local non-profit (Home of the Peanut Sheller invented by the brilliant love of my life, Jock Brandis) has their annual fundraiser coming up on February 22nd. (www.fullbellyproject.org). Tickets are (of course) available at Old Books on Front St.

Thank you to everyone for your help and patience during our renovation.
