Famed Storyteller Joyce Greer recreates the life of Harriet Tubman
and we open up the stage to you for 3 minutes (each person) to read an excerpt from your favorite African American Writer. All genres from films scripts to comic strips are expected (poetry, song lyrics, play scripts, short stories, novels - the sky is the limit!) Just a few suggestions: Maya Angelou, Alice Walker, Richard Wright, Iceberg Slim, Bobby Seale, James Baldwin, Langston Hughes, Spike Lee, Shaun Mitchell, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Oscar Peterson ( yes, bring a key board and play!) The sign up sheet will go out at 6PM, show starts at 6:30!
