Fragments - new novel by local comedy writer now avialable at Old Books!

Ryan P. C. Trimble has been writing since he first found (and promptly broke) his great-grandmother's typewriter as a toddler; since then, he has gone on to write plays, sketch comedy, films--and now, a novel. That novel is FRAGMENTS FROM 5TH AVE.

Set in 1923 when 'responsibility' was only uttered as the butt of a joke, FRAGMENTS is a story of fear and friendship and the unknown and unstoppable future as seen through the eyes of a young man who moves into a house in Wilmington with three complete strangers. He then passes five wild and eye-opening months with these three who, formerly unknown to each other, bond and grow during the last summer before their adult years take hold.

So take a trip back in time to a Wilmington long gone...FRAGMENTS FROM 5TH AVE: A modern tale of a Wilmington past. It's available here at Old Books on Front Street starting on Thursday, August 28th.
Ryan P. C. Trimble is a Wimington-based author and playwright. He is co-head writer for the Wilmington, North Carolina-based theatre troupe Pineapple-Shaped Lamps (a group he has been with since 2010), as well as a morning newscast producer and host for WECT/WSFX. This is his first novel.
