Beauitful Cycling Weather = Bike Discounts!

It is Spring - at last! Long have we waited for this beautiful sunshine and pollen! Around here it is getting on to Azalea Festival time - which means your favorite bookstore goes on vacation next weekend. At least two of us will be out riding bicycles and enjoying spring time. Do you know that we are a very bicycle friendly bookstore? We have a bike rack literally right outside our door that was installed by the city (thank you Mayor Saffo!) when we moved into our new space. We also offer discounts to cyclists. Anyone who arrives by bike gets 10% off their purchase just as a small thank you from us! All of this came about as a result of my favorite Cousin Austin, who is bike-obsessed. Before he moved to Chicago he commuted close to 100 miles a week in Wilmington by bicycle! We were going to start a bicycle themed book club with Austin as the facilitator, but he moved, so the book club never really came to fruition. However, the rest of the staff fell in love with the books he had picked out for the club to read. Two of my favorites are The Lost Cyclist - a true story of the Amelia Earhart of the Bicycle, & It's All About the Bike a great meditation on cycling and all it's glory! Please stop by to take a look and chat cycling - we would love to see you!
