“Book people are the best people”

You really do meet the nicest people in this store. My day started off with Jenny and her dad coming by with books – they always have lovely books in great condition and a good hugs! Then a wonderful family from Ontario showed up and I saw one of my favorite things: parenting! Dad conducted a wonderful math lesson that began with “Which is a better deal? 2 for $8 or 3 for $10?” Things like that are always wonderful to see. Though today was baby day! I swear I must have met 12 people under the age of 2! Nathan came by and we talked about the power of a good book to make you do things like call in sick to work because you just can’t put it down. Then my wonderful new friend Kanetha showed up during my return trek from the post office. I am a little loopy from the painkillers for the foot so I don’t think I was good company. But looking back and thinking about it – you meet the most wonderful people here. Mr. D always said “book people are the best people” and he was right.
