I get asked to read people's books all the time, it's just part of owning a bookstore. At a neighborhood meeting a few weeks ago one of my favorite neighbors, Rich Leder, an accomplished screen writer, mentioned he had a novel. Would I read it? Sure, I’d love to, but it might take a while, I have a lot on my plate.

Sometimes that proverbial "silver lining" can be true. When our building got condemned and we had to move, one of the many unexpected opportunities to come from the situation was the opportunity to ask the question, "What DO we want the bookstore to look like?" Local Author’s Book Club
It is hard to escape the realization that this area is overflowing with writing talent. In an effort to not only recognize this wonderful groundswell, but also to promote and support the people who are making it happen, we are launching a Local Author’s Book Club! Each month we will read a book by a local author (primarily narratives) and invite the author to the discussion - hopefully for some autographs, too!
Our first book will be The Night Train by Clyde Edgerton (clydeedgerton.com). First meeting will be Wed. January 18th, 7 PM
